Jay Electronica Shocked At DJ Enuff's "Exhibit C" Radioplay, "I'm Still Just Taking It All In" [Video]Rapper Jay Electronica has shared his reaction to having his Just Blaze record "Exhibit C" played by DJ Enuff on New York's Hot 97 radio station.
For Electronica, getting the underground track played on mainstream radio has become a big and overwhelming achievement him.
"Uh, yes [I feel good], I don't know, it's a lot. It's a lot at once," Jay told radio personality Angela Yee about the record getting spun in New York City. "I'm still just taking it all in. I'm just learning as I go man, I'm just learning as I go. Trying to figure it out as I go." (Angela Yee Rumors)
Writing in a posting called "Jay Electronica Wins The Heart Of A Super Star DJ," Hot 97's Enuff said he decided to play the emcee's record this week.
"People have been commenting like crazy I must of struck some cord," he wrote Monday (December 28). "I know my role and position. But at times it isn't wrong to ask for a lil help or advice. You must at all times respect your power. I rarely would ask you the people for help because the answers can be so different from one another. Leaders such as the homie Quest Love. Your cult following is ridiculous. You tell them to talk to me and they did. J Electronica I have never met him but always dug some of his early mix-tape stuff. Shouts to my cousin Jaemin for putting me on to J Electronica. I understand that I am one of the Gatekeepers. I am truly honored and Blessed to be here for Hip Hop. Quiz Knows If your out there you wanted to write I'm writing. I would love to have a one on one with J Electronica....To Be Continued." (Thats Enuff)
He previously expressed his struggle with the politics behind playing the non-typical radio record.
"I'm listening to Jay Electronica's latest tune Exhibit C Produced by Just Blaze," he wrote Sunday (December 27). "It is so good. I think it's lyrical and the production is solid. Reminds me of some early Nas stuff,Then I ask my self : Why is it not spinning on the radio? At least during my time slot? Is it because there's no dance tied to it? Is it because it's not yet on BET's Top Ten Countdown? Does it have to be a Club Banger? The radio isn't a club. So why not Good solid Hip Hop? I have it on my website. I battle myself all the time when it comes to the radio. The job I love so much. I could make it the Heavy Hitter Pick of the week with no problem. Then what? I need HELP with this one. Any Suggestions Re: Real Hip Hop is Fading." (Thats Enuff)
Enuff is also known for having close ties with the late Biggie Smalls.
Audiences loved his DJ skills and clubs everywhere were looking to book DJ Enuff. Because of the high demand, Enuff decided to return to deejaying local parties. This seems to have been a leap of fate for DJ Enuff because he caught the attention of the late legend Notorious BIG and suddenly became his road DJ. On the road with the Notorious BIG was a memorable experience for DJ Enuff. He reminisces about the good times often. One fond memory he can recall while on the set at these concerts was how the whole crowd would join together and sing his songs in perfect harmony. "It's such an amazing feeling," says Enuff. Passing the Baton in Puerto Rico-Maybe
Passing the Baton in Puerto Rico-Maybe By Ted Sares: Names like Ortiz, Torres, De Jesus, Benitez, Gomez, and Vazquez and so many others dot the Puerto Rican boxing landscape, one that is as rich with greatness as any in the world. In recent years, at least three have emerged in keeping with the traditions of this greatness.
Felix “Tito” Trinidad (1990-2008)
There is little doubt that three time champion “Tito” Trinidad will become a member of the Hall. This great KO artist now looks to be retired with a fine slate of 42-3. Before losing to Bernard Hopkins in 2001, he was 40-0. He also made fifteen successful defenses of his welterweight title. With a suspect chin and bricks in his glove, he brought great excitement into the square circle, and in that regard, he was not unlike Edwin “El Chapo“ Rosario (1979-1997)
Miguel “Junito” Cotto (2001-present)
“Junito” has been another in a long line of Puerto Rican warriors who has stormed upon the scene. He participated in one of the great fights of 2008 when he lost to Tony Margarito with his WBA welterweight title at stake. “Junito, one of the great body punchers in the tradition of Jose Torres,” was 32-0 at the time. A win over outmatched but game Michael Jennings was little more than a confidence builder, but his gritty, albeit close, win over Joshua Clottey in June 2009 seemed to have removed “The Ghost of Margarito.”
However, his devastating stoppage loss at the hands of Manny Pacquiao later in 2009 suggests that his reign as a superstar may well be over. After all, one can only sustain so many grueling battles.
Juan Manuel “Juanma” López (2005-present)
“Juanma” is the latest Puerto Rican super sensation having exploded upon the scene with a 26-0 record and a remarkable KO percentage of 92.31. He served notice by icing Giovanni Andrade in one round in 2007 to win the WBO Latino super bantamweight title. In June 2008, he knocked out rugged Daniel Ponce de Leon in the first round by moving in between Ponce wide punches and taking him out with short and crisp shots the power of which were generated by super hand speed. He the did the same with Cesar Figueroa, but this time it only took him 47 seconds to close the show. Two months later, he met Sergio “Rocky” Medina and ended this fight in 1.38 of the first stanza by rocking “Rocky.” In Juanma’s last 5 outings to that point, he went only 8 rounds–which begs the question, was he that good or were his opponents that bad?
On April 26, 2009, Lopez became the first fighter to ever stop Gerry “Fearless” Penalosa in a fight that had the drama of a rising star vs. a battle-tested veteran who has never been stopped let alone decked. Penalosa has been called a “Master Tactician,” but that moniker belonged to the rising star on this exciting night in Bayamon. If Penalosa’s only chance was to get Lopez into the late rounds to test his stamina and mettle, Lopez passed the test with an A.
Setting CompuBox records for power shots landed and punches thrown, Juanma simply overwhelmed the courageous and teak tough Filipino to win the WBO super bantamweight title as the partisan crowd roared its approval throughout. While “Fearless” (now 54-6-2) landed some solid counters and engaged in just enough fierce exchanges to stay in the fight, he was given the worst beat down of his long career. Finally, trainer Freddie Roach had no alternative but to stop the fight between the ninth and tenth stanzas. Indeed, it was painful to watch the old warrior sustain so many blows both to the body and head, but by the same token, he was in against a shooting star of the sport—and only shooting stars land 80 power punches in one round, particularly on someone like Penalosa.
Displaying all-around strength, a solid chin, dazzling hand speed, punishing and heavy-handed combos, superb body work, great stamina, and incredible ring smarts, Juan Manuel Lopez answered any lingering questions as to his growing stature.
However, he was then tested by rugged Roger Mtagwa in a savage outing in October 2009 and barely made it through the last round as he pulled out an MD victory. This thriller raised many an eyebrow as to whether the baton should be handed off to him after all.
The Baton Will Be Passed
Now, his chance for redemption comes on January 23, 2010 when Mexican American Steven Luevano (37-1-1) defends his featherweight title against “Juanma,” who is moving up in weight at Madison Square Garden. This should prove a tough test for Lopez as Luevano is a well-disciplined, methodical and skilled fighter who relies on stiff jabs and a good defense as much as his solid chin and decent to win. He should be able to keep his Puerto Rican foe at a safe distance in the early going, but Juanma will torque things up around the fifth or sixth stanza and will be the first to stop the game but overwhelmed Luevano in the late rounds. And if so, look for the baton to be passed to Juan Manuel Lopez as the next next great Puerto Rican fighter.
But if not, you can rest assured that somewhere on this Island, there is a young fighter ready to step up. Maybe his nickname is “El Chamaco, or “Azuquita” or “El Niño De Hierro,” or even “Rocky,” but make no mistake, he is out there.

Mayweather has got under Manny’s skin
Mayweather has got under Manny’s skin By Michael Taylor: Floyd Mayweather Jr. is known so well by boxing fans for his torments and the way he gets under opponents skin, but usually does it when they stand face to face, and when the fight is arranged. But this time Mayweather has already enraged Manny Pacquiao, and Manny wasn’t short of words in a recent interview back in the Philippines. Manny has now agreed to do urine tests before the fight but still the fight is still in danger.
Manny said, “I can’t believe these guys can lie without batting an eyelash and they would even make it appear that I am the culprit for the delay of the fight and saying I don’t want it to happen. Liars go to hell. They should be man enough and own up to their words”.
So finally Pacquiao has come back, and lets hope he does the punishment in the ring, because no boxing fans are going to be at the court now are they Manny.
Manny wasn’t quite finished and had to add some remarks about Mayweather, “They claimed I threatened to walk away from the largest fight in history. That’s the first lie! Last week, I told Floyd Jr, to shut his big, pretty mouth and that we should fight so that the world will get to see who is the best fighter in the planet.

Houston Rapper Lil Flip Had A Bad Christmas, Takes Anger Out On Child
Houston Rapper Lil Flip Had A Bad Christmas, Takes Anger Out On ChildIt appears that Houston rapper Lil Flip has a little but of the “Grinch” in him.
Urban gossip website Bossip recently revealed an e-mail received from Lil Flip’s baby mama detailing some nasty behavior displayed by the rapper toward his children on Christmas and past holidays, including his only sons birthday.
The e-mail reads:
“Wesley Weston aka Lil Flip and I have a 4 year old son together. I am not one of those fame hungry women that puts all of their business out there for attention, but I feel that I have been pushed to the limit by this man, and I want people to know the real “Lil Flip”. Wesley (LilFlip) and I were together for about 6 and a half years. When we first started dating I had a 2 year old daughter that he raised as his own (she called him daddy and everything), because her real father has never been in her life. Well back in January of 2009 I decided to end our very volatile relationship due to personal reasons that I’d rather not discuss. So now, jumping forward to December of 09, he has only talked to my children maybe 5 times this year, and thats because I’ve called him! They missed their daddy, and he never calls! He didn’t even call on Christmas nor did he get his ONLY son anything! He did not get his son anything for his birthday in June, and didn’t call him either. No call onThanksgiving as well. So yesterday on Christmas, around 8pm at night he sends me a text message that said “Wow it’s 8 o’clock and you still haven’t had my son call me, great mothering skills” then went on to say that I was ungrateful, and money hungry, because I had previously asked him for a little extra money on top of the little $500 he pays a month for child support to do some Christmas shopping. He sent me $150 through western union THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS knowing his son needed winter cloths and shoes!!! (I have the Western Union receipt with the date and child support paper work if you’d like me to send you all a copy). And as if that weren’t bad enough, this pompous a**hole sent my 9 year old daughter (who she refers to as daddy) a text message that said and I quote “By the way Im not your real dad, just so you’ll know the truth!” on Christmas night! So I feel I have no choice but to put his sorry a** on blast. My daughter did not deserve that, and she was so confused and upset after reading that. And I don’t allow anyone to hurt my children, not even Lil Flip. So after posting what happened on my twitter page last night, I have decided to contact you guys at bossip. I really don’t want to exploit my children, but I want people to know how arrogant and evil this man is. So I really hope you guys decide to post this. Because he basically ruined my daughters Christmas, and I am beyond pissed!”
The Houston rapper has yet to respond to these allegations, but it appears as not everyone was in the Christmas spirit this year…. but why try to ruin Christmas for an innocent little girl?

Lil Wayne Performs Final Hometown Show Before Jail Sentence
Lil Wayne performed his last hometown show Monday in New Orleans before he’s scheduled to be sentenced to prison in New York on February 9.
Wayne, clad in a crimson-red fitted hat and matching winter coat, arrived onstage at the New Orleans Arena to thunderous applause.
“I’m nothing without you,” he told the crowd in response to his ovation, according to The Associated Press.
The rapper has been on a promotional tour with Young Money since earlier this month in support of the recently released We Are Young Money compilation.
The outing kicked off December 17 in Texas but hit a few speed bumps along the way. Earlier this month, the rapper and his entourage were detained by U.S. Border Patrol agents in the Lone Star State. Officials found marijuana on Lil Wayne’s tour bus, but after being held for hours, he was later released and was never charged in the incident.
The New Orleans show went off without a hitch. During Young Money’s performance of “Every Girl,” the crowd cheered with approval. Stripped down to a tank top, Wayne was joined by Mack Maine, Jae Millz and Gudda Gudda for the number. Weezy pulled double-duty subbing for a missing Drake.
Wayne has a number of dates left on his tour, including appearances in Arizona and Mississippi. Next, Wayne and company are set to perform New Year’s Eve at the San Diego Arena in California.

Tyra Banks's Craziest Moments
As the decade winds to a close, it's only natural to look back at the events that have shaped and informed our lives over the last 10 years in order to take stock of how our world has changed. And in retrospect, one trend above all others stands out this century: Tyra Banks is crazy.
Whether she's crazy good or crazy bad, of course, is entirely in the eye of the beholder, but over the course of her five years at the helm of 'The Tyra Show,' perhaps no other daytime talk host gave us as many buzzed-about moments, from the worthy to the cringe-worthy.
Sadly for everyone, though, Banks announced earlier today that 'The Tyra Show' will be ending this spring at the conclusion of its fifth season. This won't mean the end of Tyra herself, of course; she's still going to be delivering shows such as 'America's Next Top Model' and 'True Beauty,' stating on her website that "There's a lot cooking right now and a lot of fire burning in my heart." She also told PEOPLE that she plans to focus on film projects (!!).
But while that internal barbecue will no doubt continue to serve up plenty more in the future, we have to admit we're going to miss the unpredictable hour of weirdness that 'The Tyra Show' has brought to our afternoons for the past half decade. So with that in mind, and to celebrate the contributions Tyra has made to the world of daytime television, we now present to your our list of the craziest moments ever on the 'The Tyra Show.'
1. "Squat. Pull Forward. Pee." -- Using public bathrooms can be a tricky proposition, especially if, like Tyra in this clip, you apparently are wearing gigantic undergarments that drag along the ground. Luckily, Tyra has some helpful -- and very specific -- tips on how to best make use of toilets. 2. "Kiss My Fat Ass" -- We applaud the message Tyra was sending here, confronting both the media and our culture in general over the way women are constantly subjected to pressure regarding their body image. Whether shouting "kiss my fat ass" at the world was the best way to get that message across, well, that might be a different story.

3. "The Wondrous Vulva Puppet" -- We think the title pretty much says it all.
4. "You Get ... Vaseline!" -- It's no secret that Tyra has patterned her empire-building efforts after the inimitable Oprah Winfrey. But while imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, we're not sure where mockery falls on that sliding scale. In this clip, Tyra decides to parody Oprah's famous car giveaway by treating her ecstatic audience to ... jars of free Vaseline?
5. "They're Saying That My Boobs Are Fake" -- Former 'American Idol' runner-up Kat McPhee had a bit of a dilemma when wagging tongues began whispering that her breasts were fake. The solution? Have Tyra Banks give them a thorough once-over on national television. Problem solved.
6. "Rip 'Em Off!" -- Boot cut, flare cut, straight cut. There are a lot of ways to wear your jeans. Then there's the Tyra cut, which involves getting in a conga line, ripping your pants off and heaving them into the air so a "jean posse" can outfit you with a new pair. Note: don't try this in public unless you have Tyra Banks with you.
7. "I Don't Want to Get Stuck by a Porcupine" -- Tyra pretty much spoke for everyone when she decided she didn't want to be on the business end of a porcupine. She also went ass-over-teakettle in the process, nearly destroying her set in an attempt to get away from the placid beast. And we think she dropped an F-bomb in there somewhere too. Animals just make lousy guests.
8. "This Is Me, Y'all" -- Tyra stirred up perhaps her biggest controversy when she decided to stop wearing wigs and weaves and show off her real hair instead. That's not crazy; we think the message of embracing your natural self is a positive one, especially in an African-American community that has often had hair related issues (see: Chris Rock's documentary 'Good Hair'). The crazy part here? That Tyra had to hide her perfectly fine hair in the first place.

Joe Budden Ponders Slaughterhouse/Eminem Deal, "Let's Show N*ggas How To Rap" [Video]
Joe Budden Ponders Slaughterhouse/Eminem Deal, "Let's Show N*ggas How To Rap" [Video]Slaughterhouse's Joe Budden recently spoke on the status of his team joining Eminem's Shady Records and expressed the impact it would have on hip-hop.
According to Jump Off, becoming a Shady artist would be strengthened by having Em as a visible sign of support.
"I would like that -- I think if that happens, wrap it up hip-hop," Budden told radio personality Tony Touch. "I'm f*cking great either way. I always said I would stay away from a major. Me, as a soloist. But the group? Let's f*cking go. Let's do it, let's show n*ggas how to rap. Especially having the best f*cking rapper in the world behind us. That's the important part, the [record label] and Interscope, all that's great. Eminem though? That's a different type of, see, that's a different type of rapper. That's like having the big brother that can beat everybody up." ("Toca Tuesdays")
Group member Royce Da 5'9 recently detailed the importance of having their next move by joining a major label.
"Right now, the focus is the group," Royce explained in an interview. "I'm focused on the group in terms of the next move, like with signing. Yeah, Shady is an option, there's a lot of great conversations being had and hopefully something like that could happen. Our goal is to put the group album on a major and get the real machine behind it so we can get that balance back in hip-hop." (Sound Session)
Royce also confirmed plans to drop a follow-up project to the group's self-titled 2009 debut earlier this year.
"It's like, everything is so hypothetical right now," he said in an interview. "See like right now we're talking as if things are a definite...We already agreed that we're gonna do another album. That's our decision. It's our decision on how much music we wanna do. Now, in terms of where it's gon' be at, we can't make that decision 'cause we can't sign ourselves. The only thing we can do is put ourselves in the position to build up some type of interest." (Hip Hop DX)
Earlier this year, Budden explained the significance of rappers coming together.
"I don't know what you mean 'speak on it,' [laughs] I hope it happens!," Budden playfull told radio personality Jessie Maguire in an interview. "I would be happy, happy as could be. [laughs] No man, the rumors have been going around and it seems to be the number one question as far as Slaughterhouse goes, like I said, I'm hopeful that it will happen. I would like for it to happen, uhm, but is it a definite? Is it confirmed? Is it 100 percent in stone? No, not at all. I mean, until that happens, I been in this industry a long time, and I'm sure aspiring artists can attain to this also, a lot of people make promises and a lot of people sell you dreams and often at times, things look extremely hopeful and they turn out to be the exact opposite. So I've learned to prepare for the worst and expect the best. But I certainly hope it takes place. I hope it goes down, I think a move like that would be a monument for hip-hop and not only that, there seems to be a lot of artists getting with that whole unity thing, instead of destroying one another." DJ Whoo Kid Hints At Trick Daddy's Anti-Rick Ross Mixtape
DJ Whoo Kid Hints At Trick Daddy's Anti-Rick Ross MixtapeG-Unit's DJ Whoo Kid recently spoke on his upcoming mixtape projects and hinted at Trick Daddy preparing to drop one going at fellow Southern rapper Rick Ross.
While speaking on working with 50 Cent and Lloyd Banks, Whoo Kid said Trick has reached out to him for an anti-Ross project.
"I do like a couple every month," Whoo Kid explained in an interview. "My next joints that I'm doing, I don't even know. I got so many people paying me now, I don't even know these artists, they coming out this month! I know I'm doing Cory Gunz, I'm doing Maino's joint, [Lloyd] Banks, I think 50 [Cent] has one more coming out. I know I ain't doing Jay-Z's mixtape. I don't know, I think [DJ] Clue is gonna do that. A couple of down south artists, I think Trick Daddy got a mixtape going at Ross he wants me to do and I'd be more than happy to do it." (Toronto Rappers)
Earlier this year, Trick Daddy spoke on his past issues with Ross.
"I'd like to apologize to all my fans even the Rick Ross fans for any of this situation coming up because I know it's gonna get bigger now because I've said something about it," Trick said. "I read the blogs and would like to thank everybody for commending me for taking it like a man and knowing that I said the political correct answer and I'd also like to apologize for my kid misbehaving in class and on the radio and in concerts because I raised his a**. What happened, I let Ross start eatin' table food too fast, you know when you don't raise your kid they will throw their hands up at you...I just don't understand it, I was a big Ross fan and if you check all my interviews, you check the web, radio, I never sneak dissed him, I always tell people I like Ross as an artist even when he was Teflon Don. Whatever he wanted to be, I supported him. For him to try and assassinate my character and then what's the sad part about this is when the first corrections officer picture came out about a week later I saw an interview, the interviewer said, 'So Rick Ross, how do you feel about Trick Daddy calling you a prison guard,' time-out. Ain't no way you went for that dumb a** sh*t right there. The sad part is that that interview is three years old." (Shade 45)
Trick's name is heard via Ross' "Valley of Death" record in which he said the Slip-N-Slide rapper had AIDS.
"Caught a little case, buddy had a little cheddar," Ross raps on "Valley of Death." "Pled out to 15, poured his life in a letter/ Very first line he called Trick Daddy stupid/ Said he had AIDS telling people that it's lupus/ Not the one just to jump to conclusions/ I'm getting money, small talk can be a nuisance." ("Valley of Death")
He previously opted out of dissing Ross and discussed his battle with lupus.
"Millions of people are stricken with lupus," Trick said in an interview. "I have stayed out of the bullsh*t, I will continue to stay out of it. Ross had been with Slip-N-Slide Records as long as I have been with Slip-N-Slide Records. He's known I've had lupus for 10 years. I was referred to my doctor by Ted Lucas who is the head of Slip-N-Slide Records. I would like to apologize to everyone suffering with lupus. I would like to apologize for the insults." (MTV)

Mary J. Blige's "Tear" En Route For 300K First-Week
R&B veteran Mary J. Blige's Stronger With Each Tear is reportedly en route to debut next week with roughly 320,000 sold copies.
According to weekend estimates, Blige will likely fall behind singer Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream.
With one week remaining in the chart year, Susan Boyle and Taylor Swift are now less than 100k apart in their battle for the best-selling album of 2009. Susan Boyle (Columbia) 600-625. Mary J. Blige (Geffen) 300-320K. Alicia Keys (J/RMG 280-300K. Young Money (Cash Money/Universal Motown) 120-130K. (Hits Daily Double)
The album is her latest since 2007's Growing Pains.
Blige's just-released "Stronger With Each Tear," is on course to sell perhaps around 300,000 and possibly more. The queen of hip-hop/soul's last release, "Growing Pains," was released on Dec. 18, 2007 and bowed at No. 2 with 629,000. It moved to No. 1 the following week. "Stronger" is Blige's third studio set in a row to be released on the eve of Christmas. "The Breakthrough" started the trend back in 2005, when it launched at No. 1 with 727,000 following its release on Dec. 20. (Billboard)
While promoting her album last week, Blige was rumored to have had a domestic dispute with her husband, Kendu Isaacs.
On Tuesday, while Mary, 38, celebrated her 2009 album launch at Club M2 in NYC, she was spotted getting upset with Kendu after she thought he had been flirting with a waitress, and witnesses say that the singer hit her hubby's face. "They got in each other's face before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside and popped [Isaacs] in the face," a witness reports to Radar Online, "Then she bit him on the hand." (OK Magazine)
Footage of the incident has also been found online.
On the video, created by the NY Post, at about the 1:05 mark you can notice an exchange between MJB and her husband that looks like an argument. Another man steps in between and seems to continue arguing. Word is they were all rushed off but Mary came back to the party. No word on the cause of the ruckus, but rumor has it that Kendu was flirting with some chick. (Singersroom)

?"Memphis Bleek Defends Not Joining Jay-Z's Roc Nation, "What Am I Getting Out Of That
Memphis Bleek has discussed his reasons for not joining Jay-Z's Roc Nation and explained how he is out for himself these days.
According to Bleek, he would rather prove his own success without being Hov's artist.
"I coulda went to Roc Nation, but then what am I getting out of that?," Bleek asked in an interview. "Another $150,000 check advance, then I come out [and] sell 300,000 probably, somebody makes two or three million, and I gotta mess with the fact that they gon' say yo you bricked out? Like that's the industry. And that's [with a label run by] my homie. Now if [it's] somebody else, [they] might not even get a 150 [thousand dollar] advance, they probably go get 30. And plus I'd rather be on my own, fam. I been in the game, like you said a decade now, I know what to do; I know what not to do. It's time for me to have my own record [label]. I got a lot of n*ggas behind me that's ready to get they shot. And me being behind Jay, they ain't gonna never get they shot." (Hip Hop DX)
Earlier this year, Bleek confirmed no longer being under contract with Def Jam.
"[The album] is called The Process," Bleek revealed in an interview. "Same album I was working on when everybody was under the Def Jam structure. But once Jay moved and did the Roc Nation thing, I hollered at him and told him I wanted to create my own umbrella to be a branch off Roc Nation...I don't want to be under Jay-Z's shadow forever. I feel like I'm gonna get criticized for that forever. So, yeah. It's one reason I want to do the Get Low thing. People will respect me more if I can show them I know how to walk on my own two. But I still got the big homie. He's setting up meetings with every distribution company for me. I'm just trying to see what's the best fit." (Vibe)
Bleek previously spoke on his label status and why he parted ways with Def Jam.
"Jay's the kindest n*gga that walk the face of this earth and everything ain't money," Bleek said in an interview. "N*gga gave everybody he knew that he came up with rhyming with opportunity, that's all you can ask for...You know Hov broke bread...I left Def Jam...I had options to put out another album on Def Jam but then I had a meeting with him and he made it real clear to me, 'Why do that, you got the opportunity right now to run your own company. I'ma get you the distribution deal for Get Low Records, you sign your artists, drop your albums under Get Low and I'ma still executive produce.'" (Hip Hop Beef)
He also hit up SOHH last year to discuss the concept behind Get Low.
"Roc-A-Fella for life," Bleek affirmed. "Even though Roc-A-Fella's in the blood, [Jay] gave me the opportunity to step out and make Get Low Records for my own company and really get all the proceeds, make all the money from my projects. And I don't think nobody right now, nobody's boss would let them do that in the position I'm in and still be on stage with them touring." (SOHH)
50 Cent Questions Media Giving Game A Pass, "He's There Because Of His Assocation With Me" [Video
50 CENT - THE BEST OF 2009 from DJ SEMTEX on Vimeo.
50 Cent recently questioned why the media tends to not grill his former G-Unit member Game about going against one of the main rappers who helped him reach success, himself.
According to Fif, Game is often never given questions about attacking him despite the fame he helped provide him.
"Let me ask you a question, when you see Game, do you say, 'Yo, why you talking about 50, you wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for him," Fif asked DJ Semtex. "You don't say that. Right. But you said that about [Beanie Sigel]. When he picks and comes, he's really there because of his association with 50 Cent initially. I introduced him. The same way you felt Jay-Z put Beans into a space that we recognize Beans and I don't really hear people say that to Game. I don't hear people say 'You're really here because of your association with 50 Cent. We know you because of 50 Cent. So why are you so comfortable for disrespecting 50 Cent?' It's not your fault though, you're in the record company. There's people that when I tell you there's certain people that don't have a responsibility to be cool with you because they are just doing business, that's the way I view Interscope as a record company." (DJ Semtex TV)
Earlier this month, Game wrote on Twitter about why he will not yet let up against Fif.
"#oneofmyfollowers ah whoop 10 of @50cent followers a** !!!!," Game wrote Thursday (December 17) night. "#oneofmyfollowers might have a couple kids wit #ghettobabynames like "IMUNIQUE" or "PRECIOUS" with her big ole a**or "SHA-QUA-ZHA-NAY" LOL jb_32 @ihategame @50cent has over 2 million followers, you're not even in the hundred thousands n*gga. Step yo game up @jb_32 yea, he got 2 million followers but they didn't follow that CD 2 the record store n*gga. ha #oneofmyfollowers is dumb ! this means u Quemical @ihategame Start Singing some R&B p*ssy a** songs like 50, so you can get 2million p*ssy a** followers. lol I'll squash da beef wit dat n*gga when he bows down & becomes #oneofmyfollowers & gives his kids #ghettobabynames like "THE GAME" or "PLIES"" (Game's Twitter)
Despite his disses, Game said he copped 50's new album, Before I Self Destruct.
D*mn, I should have bought three more," Game said about Fif's album. "I tried to get him over that 160 mark, man. We bought 17 albums man, real talk. I just wanted to help him out man. I tried to get him into, I don't know, [if] my 17 was gonna get him to a million, I didn't know what I was doing. But eh, I support it, I support hip-hop, man. It's sad and tragic that he didn't do what he thought he would do. But he's 50, man, he'll find out a way to sell somebody some G-Unit Maxipads, or G-Unit tampons or G-Unit douches, he's a business man...I think if Dre would have came out on the same day, he would have did a million or something or he would have did his mark. I just think people aren't buying or are buying what has a buzz and what's hot. I think it's a thin line and I fall somewhere in the middle and that's what keeps me afloat and my longevity is sustained." (Rap-Up TV)
However, he also said the rapper's sales indicate a decline in popularity.
I mean at this point, he is shooting himself. I mean for a guy to sell 10 million records his first time out and then to come back out and do 160,000 in the first week three albums later is a catastrophe. I really feel for him at this point. If he needs my help, then I will help him out and say his name a couple more times to help him float. I really feel bad about his first week, and I just want him to feel better about himself. Tell 50, there's always the next album." (All Hip Hop
Video: Mayweather vs. Pacman off?
At the end of the day, I think this fight still goes down. There is too much damn $ at stake for this fight not to happen, and if the fight falls through because Manny doesn’t want to give some blood a couple of days before the fight Pacman’s rep will be tainted. I think Floyd is just trying to get in Manny’s head to screw with his mental before the fight. So far it looks like it’s working, we’ll see if Manny comes to his senses and agrees to the terms.
CASH MONEY TO MERGE WITH WARNER?
I got this right off of, bet.com. I wont even mess it up. Here you go:
Details are extremely sketchy at this point, but an EXTREMELY reliable source confirmed with me that a “secret secret hush hush* meeting occurred with several major big wigs from both parties (Oh hai Lyor Cohen & Brian Williams).
While nothing’s been solidified in regards to logistics to this ground breaking venture, possibilities of future collaborations and ish of that nature are hatching as we speak. A merger of the sort could combine the forces of every conglomerate under the respective umbrellas of WMG and Cash Money Records.
This includes Atlantic Records Group (Lupe’s 1st & 15th Entertainment, T.I.’s Grand Hustle Records, Maino’s Hustle Hard imprint) Warner Brothers Records Inc (Asylum Records- Gucci Mane lives here, Warner Bros. Records, Blacksmith Records) and a bevy of other imprints.

Multi-platinum songstress Mary J. Blige is rebuking reports that she punched her husband Kendu Isaacs in the face Tuesday night at her NYC album release party.
According to initial reports from anonymous “sources,” the fight occurred when Isaacs was seen flirting with several female waitresses, causing Blige to strike and taunt him.
“She turned to him and was screaming, 'You're not going to ruin my night,' " an alleged witness told the NY Post. “They got up in each other's faces before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside, pulled back and popped [Isaacs] in the face. She was yelling at him, 'What are you gonna do, Chris Brown me?'”
From there, Blige’s bodyguards were said to have escorted Isaacs from the M2 Ultra Lounge venue.
Blige’s publicist Kerynne Tencer released a statement denying the incident, and proclaimed the couple’s relationship is on steady ground.
“People lie and don’t know what they’re talking about,” Tencer explained. “They’re as happy as can be. They’re spending the holidays together with their three children. Everything’s great.”
Blige and Isaacs, who also serves as her manager, have been married since 2003.
On Tuesday (December 21), Blige released Stronger with Each Tear, her 9th studio LP after a 2-year hiatus. To date, Blige has maintained a streak of every album since 1992’s What’s the 411? going platinum or multi-platinum.
The album features guest spots from Drake, T.I., and Trey Songz. Production credits include Ryan Leslie, The Runners, Polow Da Don, The Dream, Stargate, and Tricky Stewart.
UPDATE
The NY Post has released footage of Mary J. Blige's altercation with husband Kendu Isaacs. The viral clip shows the couple arguing, and Blige attempting to strike Isaacs before being restrained by several entourage members. At press time, it is not known if this is footage of the full altercation, or whether a blow was landed before or after.
At press time, Blige nor her publicist have commented on the footage.

Lupe Fiasco Speaks Out About Leaked Music
Rapper Lupe Fiasco recently expressed his outrage in regards to a song being released to the public without his permission.
The track "I'm Beaming" was leaked on Christmas Eve night by a unknown party. The rapper says that he has planned to pursue legal action to find out who leaked the track and to press charges against the individual(s) responsible, as the rapper has claimed the track to be stolen property.
About the track being unintentionally released, Fiasco wrote this message to his fans on his blog.
"A lot of time and energy goes into the creation of this music, not to mention large sums of money, money provided by my record company as well as from my own personal finances," he explained. "My music is the product of my life. It means so much to me. I take pride in it and I also take pride in how it changes peoples lives and gives them hope. So to see it treated in this manner really numbs the soul. So many of my family and friends rely on me for their well-being and I rely on my music to give me the opportunities that allow me to provide for them."
He also made a plea to his fans not to purchase, distribute, or endorse any illegally released material of his.
Fiasco also went on to state that he takes the situation very personal in regards to the fact that he believes his first album was massively pirated and illegally downloaded prior to its official release.
He then compared the situation to the kidnapping of a family member, or a house robbery.
"And for those of you unsympathetic enough not to understand I can only compare it to someone breaking into your house and stealing everything not tied down or someone kidnapping your sister or brother and ransoming them back to you," Fiasco aruged. "A deep sense of helplessness. I hope you never have to feel this and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.
So far no one has been found responsible for the leak.

Eminem To Censor Lyrics To Avoid Anti-Gay Protests In UK
Controversial rapper Eminem has agreed to refrain from performing homophobic lyrics during an upcoming festival in the United Kingdom next summer.
Organizers of the popular Wireless Festival 2010 were fearful that various gay rights groups, such an OutRage! would picket the concert.
According to UK’s Evening Standard, OutRage! has agreed to refrain from picketing the concert, as long as Eminem does not use lyrics that encourage or incite hatred against gay people.
Eminem agreed to sign up after he was assured there would be no protests at the show, according to spokesman David Allison.
Eminem also reportedly agreed to both parties demands that he censor his lyrics, to avoid confrontation with the gay rights groups in the country.
OutRage! and other similar groups have actively boycotted singers like Beenie Man and Buju Banton, who have had tours of the country interrupted due to protests over their homophobic lyrics.
At press time confirmed performers for the 2010 Wireless Festival include Pink and The Ting Tings.
The event takes place at London's Hyde Park in July of 2010.

50 Cent Experiences Another Concert Mishap, "A Fan Jumped On Stage At 50 Again"
50 Cent has reportedly experienced a slight case of deja vu as G-Unit producer DJ Whoo Kid publicly revealed to fans that the rap mogul was confronted on-stage by a fan while performing in Nigeria.
According to Whoo Kid, the incident took place Monday (December 21) night.
"Finally out of Nigeria!! Last show they shot Ak47s at the fans - wtf!!!! It felt so good to see a BIG MAC in Germany !!! food!! I'm A ALIVE!," he wrote on Twitter. "ALIVE!!!! 1st Concert in Nigeria , Africa the whole city power grid went out during What Up Gangster and Fan Jumped on stage at 50 again Escaped in a Black out !!! video will be up soon !!!! I am still sh*tting on my self from the food and water... yipes are there pampers in Germany!" (DJ Whoo Kid's Twitter)
Fat Joe used 50's 2008 on-stage chain snatching against the rapper's street credibility earlier this year.
"I'ma show you that footage of Joe walking through the hood in Angola," Crack promised. "I can't believe that one. Man look you in your eye, yap you and walk off? That's amazing. I never seen no sh*t like that in my life...That p*ssy was shocked...It's irrelevant [if 50 got the chain back.] You get robbed in front of America? This is what I'm saying, did he get robbed in front of America? This is my sh*t, get the chain back? That's that bullsh*t, a n*gga get robbed and then you send your man 'cause he know him and get the chain back? N*gga you the illest gangsta? You the killer of all killers and n*gga robbing you on TV? He got robbed on TV. Never seen no sh*t like that in my whole life. That's incredible, Smack. Ask him about that sh*t because he's been keeping it real low though. I ain't hear from that n*gga in a minute. He ain't tryin' to argue with n*ggas, 'Yo, let's keep the fat n*gga quiet, let's keep Game quiet, let's keep everybody quiet and it'll die over.'" (SmackTube)
Joey previously proclaimed his impact on the continent of Africa and indirectly joked about Fif's robbery last spring.
"Every week I'm in Africa," Joe said in a video. "I'ma start showing you sh*t you ain't ever seen in your life. All different parts of Africa. I done been to everywhere...Ghana, I done did Ghana. I live in Angola. So, you know, it's not dangerous like people say. I know people got robbed over there. I got footage of me in the barber shop, hanging in the hood, hanging out with everybody on the corner, having a great time. It's beautiful in Angola...So you know, King of Africa man. Stay tuned, you gonna find out a lot about Africa real soon." (World Star Hip Hop)
Fif's incident took place while performing in Angola around May 2008.
50 Cent had his necklace stolen by a fan during a concert in Angola. The incident, which took place as the rapper was onstage, was captured on video by a fan. In the video, the music stops as the person grabs the necklace and climbs back into the crowd. Responding to the incident on his website, 50 said security at the concert had been "limited" and "fans were able to interact with the group onstage". Contrary to the fans video, the rapper claims his own footage of the incident shows he "pushed him off the stage and jumped into the crowd and then all hell broke loose." (Gigwise)

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne's Rebirth has reportedly been pushed back from its February release date and will feature new tracks according to a Universal Motown representative.
Reports also claim roughly one million copies of the project have been printed.
Neither the crew album nor the experimental passion project has a proud commercial legacy in hip-hop. But for Rebirth, at least, Lil Wayne's label had sizable expectations. According to Billboard, around one million copies were printed, one-third of which were distributed to retailers. (Lil Wayne's last album, Tha Carter III, has been certified triple platinum, meaning three million copies were shipped.) For 500 or so fans, the physical CD of the original Rebirth is a collectible. For the untold thousands who downloaded the album's songs free, they're just grist for the mill, placeholders until something else comes along, preferably better. According to a representative for Universal Motown Records, a new version of Rebirth is now slated to be released in the first quarter of 2010. (New York Times)
Young Money President Mack Maine recently addressed the confusion about Lil Wayne's Rebirth album accidentally being released ahead of schedule and promised a "new" version was in the works.
"Young Money will be on the Monique show 2nite!!!!! Check ya local listings for specific times!!!!," he wrote Wednesday (December 16). "RT @GUDDA1: DEC.21ST DEC.21ST >>> "W R YOUNG MONEY" IN STORES MONDAY!! RT @KarenCivil: Leaked 09 Rebirth isn't going to be 2010 Rebirth.." (Mack Maine's Twitter)
Despite the project being pushed to February, early copies were released earlier this month.
About 500 Amazon customers who pre-ordered the album are enjoying the record already, thanks to a shipping mishap. According to sources and an e-mail to Billboard from an Amazon customer, the online merchant sent copies of the album to some customers who pre-ordered "Rebirth." The album began arriving in mailboxes on Monday, Dec. 14, despite a change in the street date from Dec. 21 to February 1. Although Amazon received the word to return the Lil Wayne album, supposedly about 500 copies were sent to customers. An Amazon spokesman didn't respond to an e-mail request for a comment. (Billboard)
In light of Wayne's leaked album, SOHH spoke with rappers like Lil Scrappy to see how they battle their music illegally being released.
"You make a lot of music," Scrappy told SOHH, "when you making albums, I think you should do two albums. You should make the same amount of songs on both the first time you hit it hard, bam, then you gotta prepare yourself. Like, it's digital right now so sh*t can happen, get drunk in the car playing CDs and your man got d*mn press the button and be like 'Yo [everybody,] I got that new Scrap.' [laughs] If he's smart, he'll go bootleg it and if it's hot, you gonna bootleg it so my best thang to tell a n*gga is to make two albums, you know what I'm saying? And we do this anyway, so it ain't hard, you feel me?" (SOHH)

New York rap veteran AZ recently shared his aim to enlist award-winning producers Kanye West, Dr. Dre, DJ Toomp and more for his upcoming Doe Or Die 2 album.
For the Brooklyn, New York-based emcee, a few producers have already earned a spot on the solo project.
"Buckwild's on board," AZ revealed in an interview. "I spoke to L.E.S., I spoke to D/R [Period], I spoke to them, they all there. At the same time, I wanna bring newcomers to the table. I'm gonna get some joints from him. I spoke to him. I'm trying to reach out to Dr. Dre. I'm trying to make this epic too, like just bring everything to a full circle. So I'm gonna [reach back] into the past, but I'm also gonna bring it to the future. I even need a joint from Kanye. I gotta knock on his door. I'm gonna knock on his door real soon." (Hip Hop DX)
AZ recently spoke with SOHH about his motivation for putting the album together.
"I mean, I reached out to [Nas], uhm, I think he's going through a couple of whirls, he's going through a lot of situations so we haven't really sat down and politic'ed and talked about everything," AZ explained. "Actually, I did reach out for this Doe Or Die 2, that's what I'm working on, the Doe Or Die 2 stuff. Raekwon did the Cuban Linx [2], and The Blueprint 3 and the Carter III and IV, so them sequels do good in the marketplace. So I'm trying to do this Doe Or Die 2, I reached out to him, I haven't gotten feedback as of yet, but like I said, look at what he's going through." (SOHH)
AZ shares over a decade of musical history with Nas stemming from their "Life's A B*tch" collaboration and work together on Doe Or Die.
In the wake of his debut Doe or Die's critical success, AZ collaborated with Nas in the ill-fated supergroup the Firm and released Pieces of a Man (1998), another critical favorite. But for the most part, that was it from AZ for several years as he fell by the wayside, not surfacing in a big way again until a pair of Motown releases, 9 Lives (2001) and Aziatic (2002), that didn't sell any better than his previous efforts. He subsequently took his music underground, periodically releasing albums such as A.W.O.L. (2005). (All Music)
Aside from his own project, AZ said early talks of a full length joint record with Cormega were merely speculation earlier this year.
"I'm not sure," AZ said about the chances of a collaboration album. "I mean, anything is possible but we haven't spoke on it yet. But you know, it 'can' happen. I mean, anything is possible, me and Cormega haven't really built on it, we haven't really sat down and patched things out but Mega is a cool brother, you know what I'm saying, especially with his music. So you know, anything is possible." (SOHH)

Drake Makes "Thank Me Later" Single Deadline, "All These People Are Asking Me For This Album"
Young Money's Drake has announced his plans to release Thank Me Later's first single no later than the top of next year.
Although not giving away too many details, Drake also said he had no intention to stop his work ethic despite the holidays.
"Work [laughs], yeah, work man because all these articles are coming out and all these people are asking me for this album, and yeah, I really wanna get it done," Drake revealed in an interview. "I'm gonna take my time with it but you know, perfection has no deadlines...There's no telling where I'll be [for Christmas], the industry shuts down supposedly in December but my life is just gonna keep going through. I mean, I really wanna dominate a first, second quarter time period so I need to have a single out by the top of next year and just keep going man." (Rap-Up)
He recently promised collaborations with Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lil Wayne on his debut.
"I'm making progress on it," Drake said in an interview this week. "I'm hoping for March now. It's just pulling everybody together: I had a wish list for my managers of everybody I wanted involved that stem beyond hip-hop. I'm trying to pull it all together. I'm really trying to work with Sade. Lil Wayne will be on it. Young Jeezy, Jay-Z, Kanye will be doing work on it. It's in the family." (MTV)
The singer had previously discussed his hope to grow and advance his skills on the forthcoming solo project.
"You can expect the same sound, I'm still going to be telling a story," Drake explained in an interview. "I've got a great story to tell now -- it's been a crazy year. I just want to make it a little bigger, a little more energy. Sonically, I want to advance. I think I've gotten better at rapping since the last one so I'm excited to share it with the world. That's how I come up with songs, I'll sit there and rap to myself. There are people who are phenomenal at freestyling, but I'm a writer." (The Boom Box)
He also touched on the importance of lyricism for his debut album.
"Lyrically, I want to keep the album as genuine and honest as 'Fear' is, but musically there will be a little more energy," he promised. "There will be more moments of triumph, because my life is the best it's ever been in my 22 years of existence. I want my music to reflect that, but I still want to be able to relate and connect with people. It's a good indication. There will obviously be some variation -- not every track is going to sound like that. I was actually going to save 'Fear' for the album, but I wanted to give people another reason to buy the [So Far Gone] EP." (Shock Hound)

Cash Money Records' Bow Wow has lashed at radio personality Tim Westwood for recently asking Soulja Boy Tell Em if his Lamborghini was rented.
Writing via Twitter, Bow Wow took a few jabs at the United Kingdom radio veteran.
"I agree with @50cent," Bow Wow wrote. Speaking with Soulja Boy, Tim asked the rapper if their past beef was over.
"Will he ever work with Bow Wow again," Tim read from a question sheet to Soulja Boy. "Was his Lamborghinis rented? They looked like leases to me. I'm not saying there's a problem [between you two] but they do look like leases. As opposed to your Lambo which you paid for. Paid cash? Paid cash! Now do you change the color of your Lambo?" (Tim Westwood TV)
Soulja Boy previously went head-to-head with Bow Wow before squashing their beef earlier this year.
First starting over their alleged "Lambos" claiming each others are leased or rented, then later saying they wanted to race. Things went to the next level when Soulja Boy said Bow Wow's album was garbage and he would leak it to which Bow Wow said Soulja Boy is only in rap because of him. Soulja Boy then released a video explaining how the beef went from friendly to disrepectful then later Bow Wow called Soulja Boy and the two young rappers made up. (Rap Basement)

According to reports, rapper-turned-actor Mark Wahlberg is behind the new series.
If you're like me then you've been f*cking with HBO programming since The Corner (remember that) all the way to The Sopranos,The Wire, Oz, Sex & The City (not afraid to admit it one bit), Curb Your Enthusiasm & Entourage. Now Mark Whalberg who created Entourage brings us it's East Coast counterpart How To Make it In America about a group of 20 somethings trying to achieve "the American dream" while living in hipster central Downtown Manhattan and stars none other than racial profiling's recent victim Kid CuDi and one of my favorite actors Luis Guzman along with some white boys. Airs Valentine's Day 2010. Next up on HBO, Irv Gotti's 160 Varrick about the old Def Jam. (Ice Dot Com)
Cudi previously spoke on wanting to place his focus on the upcoming series.
"It was important to me early on to branch away from music and actually do something outside my comfort zone. When we were developing my character with the writers, I was telling them, 'Man, I don't want to be anything that has to do with music,' just because that's not really acting." (The Boom Box)
He also hinted at his character's role in the upcoming series.
"I have a lead role," Cudi said in an interview. "My character's name is Domingo Dean. I actually named my character after both of my brothers - Dean, who lives in Phoenix, being one of them, and Domingo. My character's kind of the comic relief. He's really witty - a hopeless romantic but a player at the same time." (AZ Central)
Details on the show emerged online earlier this year.

Redman Says Jay-Z Needs To Rep Big L, "Jay Need To Give That Sh*t Up" [Video]
Redman Says Jay-Z Needs To Rep Big L, "Jay Need To Give That Sh*t Up" [Video]New Jersey rap veteran Redman has publicly reached out to Jay-Z and said he should begin paying more homage to the late rapper, Big L.
Redman said Jay should take a moment and inform fans of L's greatness.
"Big L man, y'all n*ggas is f*cking wildin'," Red said in an interview. "Yo Jay man, that n*gga Jay need to give that sh*t up to Big L anytime he's saying anything about man, doing them shows when he have Big Pun in there, he should have Big L up in that b*tch as well. I wanted to do all them on one song and just so happens Eminem gave me track." (Big Pun The Legacy: The Lost Files)
Prior to being fatally shot a decade ago, L was rumored to be signing with Jay's Roc-A-Fella Records.
Big L founded his own label, Flamboyant Entertainment, and released the classic street singles "Ebonics," "Size 'Em Up" and "Flamboyant." The enormous buzz garnered from the songs attracted the attention of Roc-A-Fella Records' Dame Dash and Jay-Z, and were in talks to sign Flamboyant Entertainment to the Def Jam giant. Unfortunately, Lamont was killed February 15th, 1999, just days away from signing the deal to make it official. (Hip Hop DX)
An upcoming documentary based on the rapper's life is reportedly in the works.
Produced by Dangerzone Films, the documentary will chronicle the life of the rapper with his rise in the music scene. It will show his early involvement as part of the group Children of the Corn, which was comprised of Mase, McGruff, Bloodshed and Cam'ron and then as a member of the D.I.T.C. collective. The story of Lamont Coleman will not just be about the rap game as it will feature rare stories and photographs of the fallen rapper which will be told through family, friends and those that associated themselves with him. The documentary will also give exclusive footage of Big L alongside the late Big Pun as they performed together on stage. (Hip Hop Wired)

Kanye West Explains Post-VMA Hiatus, "I'm So Passionate, I Just Can't Take This Sh*t Sometimes" [Video]
Kanye West Explains Post-VMA Hiatus, "I'm So Passionate, I Just Can't Take This Sh*t Sometimes" [Video]Kanye West made a surprise appearance at Kid Cudi's California concert and shocked fans with a pre-rap rant hinting at his recent absence from the media spotlight.
At Cudi's request, Yeezy spilled his thoughts onto the microphone for Los Angeles fans.
"I had to get up out this motherf*cker for a second," Ye told the crowd. "I love the game so much and I'm so passionate about it that I just can't take this sh*t sometimes. And if they take everything away from me it wouldn't f*cking matter. Artists be too concerned about their well-being sometimes. Artists be too scared to stand up for something. They scared to lose they f*cking house or they scared to lose their record deal. I sold my soul to the devil, I know it's a crappy deal/At least it came with a few toys like a Happy Meal." (Miss Info TV)
Various sites initially suggested Ye moved to India last month as a result of being ridiculed for his Video Music Awards incident during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech.
Rumor has it Kanye West is off to India to clear his mind. Just last week he canceled his ambitious "Fame Kills" tour with Lady Gaga. Now the troubled rapper has reportedly booked a month at Hindu guru Sri Aurobindo's ashram in Pondicherry, India. (Prefix Mag)
Kid Cudi previously vouched for Ye and denied rehab reports.
"All that's definitely false. I mean ... rehab for what? Being awesome?" Cudi said in an interview. "We talk every once in a while. Like I said, he's like a brother to me, I worry just as much as the next person, but when I say Kanye is cool, believe me, Kanye is OK. He's a strong dude.
