Former New York City radio station co-workers DJ Clue and Funkmaster Flex have called each other out and exchanged disses on Twitter.
Attempting to draw a crowd, Clue made jabs at Flex's radio mixes.
"@funkmasterflex Is the only dj they made a trending topic about how horrible he is! He gotta $ pay $ artists to come hang at his parties," he wrote Wednesday (January 13) evening. Clue left radio station Hot 97 nearly four years ago.
Clue will now take the helm of the 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. slot at Power 105 in direct competition with Hot 97's renowned veteran Funkmaster Flex , who holds down the 7 p.m. - 12 a.m. slot. (The Free Library)
Late last year, DJ Envy parted ways with Hot 97 for rival station Power 105.1.
A day after announcing that he was parting ways with New York's Hot 97 on his twitter account earlier this week, DJ Envy announced that he'll be joining Clear Channel Radio's Power 105.1 in New York. "I'm excited to start hosting afternoons at Power 105.1," he told Splash of Dajaz1.com. "Now I'm with the first person that put me on the radio, Ed Lover, and the person who taught me how to mix, DJ Clue. I'm honored to join a young team of talented jocks. The grind begins... it's movin!" (XXL Mag)
